How to Get a Motorcycle Learner's Permit in Punjab
A valid motorcycle learner's permit or driving licence is required for every CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme applicant, regardless of gender. If you don't already have one, here's how the process generally works through Punjab's Driving License Issuance Management System (DLIMS).
The general process
Generate a payment slip (PSID)
Through the ePay Punjab app, the DLIMS Punjab website, or in person at a Traffic Police Licensing Centre. Select "Learner Permit" as the licence type and enter your CNIC and district.
Pay the fee
Pay the PSID through a bank, ATM, or mobile wallet as instructed on the slip.
Complete the application
Submit your CNIC and required details, either online or at the licensing centre, depending on what's available in your district.
Receive your learner's permit
Once processed, the permit is typically delivered by courier. Keep it with you — it's one of the required documents when you apply for the e-bike scheme.
Apply for a permanent licence later, if needed
A learner's permit must generally be held for a minimum period (commonly around six weeks) before you can apply for a permanent licence — but a learner's permit alone is sufficient to apply for the e-bike scheme.
