Documents Checklist for the CM Punjab E-Bike Scheme
Missing or mismatched documents are the most common reason student applications get stuck in verification. Here's what to prepare, why each document is needed, and the mistakes that most often cause delays.
What to prepare
1. Original CNIC (or Form-B if under 18)
Your CNIC must be valid and unexpired on the day you apply. If you're under 18, a Form-B (child registration certificate) is accepted instead — make sure the name matches your other documents exactly.
2. Enrollment or bonafide certificate
A current certificate from your school, college or university confirming you're an actively enrolled student. Get this on official letterhead, dated within the last few months — an expired or undated certificate is a common rejection reason.
3. Learner's permit or driving licence
Required for every applicant, regardless of gender. If you don't already have one, apply at your local traffic police office or through DLIMS before starting your e-bike application, since it's usually needed at submission, not added later.
4. Domicile certificate or proof of Punjab residence
Confirms you're a resident of Punjab. A domicile certificate is the standard document, though other acceptable proof of residence may be listed on the official portal.
5. Recent passport-size photograph
Use a plain-background, recent photo scanned or photographed clearly. Blurry or outdated photos are a frequent cause of manual review delays.
Common mistakes that delay applications
- Name spelled differently across CNIC, enrollment certificate and domicile — even small mismatches can trigger manual review.
- Uploading blurry photos of documents instead of clear scans.
- Files larger than the portal's size limit (commonly capped around 2MB) failing to upload silently.
- Applying before getting a learner's permit, then trying to add it later.
- Using a mobile number you don't check regularly — every status update and OTP arrives by SMS.
- Losing the application ID after submission — screenshot it immediately.
